I’m ready are you

Here in the 937 we got hit with a few inches of snow last night

It was really bad this morning, but as you can see the roads are now clear. That little spot by my nose…..it’s a resident squirrel. He came down from his nest to get the corn I left him :0)

I am so ready for spring! I ordered some seeds for the garden and they came in the mail yesterday!

This isn’t everything I’m gonna plant but a variety of the things I want to grow. Do you have a Garden? What do you like to plant in your garden? Stay tuned as it gets closer to spring, we will be getting the garden ready and even planting some starters ahead of time! I love to garden! This year we ordered heirloom seeds from http://www.rareseeds.com no gmos. We will be sharing more about this as time goes on!

Before bed

I have a routine I like to do before bed. I like to wash my face

Brush my teeth

Brush my scalp

Then I curl up with Ohiophotogrl and we say our prayers before we close our eyes and go to sleep. What do you do before bed?

What’s for breakfast

Sometimes we like to get up and make breakfast before we start the day. I wait for Ohiophotogrl to wake up and look for recipes on her phone.

This morning I found these eggs. However we are gonna use her new cookware and cook them with very little water. That’s right boiled eggs cooked with just a wet paper towel in the bottom of the pan. Here goes nothin…..

Wetted paper towel and put them in the Kitchen Craft cookware turned the eye in Med heat for 3 minutes.

Spun the lid till it felt like it was gliding. It was making a vaper seal and turned the heat down as low as it would go for 13 minutes. Took the lid off and cracked the shells…..the shells come off very easy! And the eggs….

Perfect! Mmmmmmmm breakfast is served! What are you having?

Let’s do it right

You may not know it but it’s flu season where Ohiophotogrl and I live. That means we have to take really good care of ourselves. That means lots of hand washing!

• Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap.

• Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Be sure to lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.

• Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice.

• Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.

• Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.

Let’s all be healthy!

Happy New Year 2018

I’m still alive and doing well my friends. I know 2017 was a bit quiet but Ohiophotogrl assures me that 2018 will bring more adventure than last year and I will get to tag along! I wrote this up….

She has agreed so be on the look out for more adventure and more quality time with me and Ohiophotogrl!

Happy Holidays

Woke up to some snow today. First White Christmas we have had in many years!

Got all bundled up and spent just a little time outside. It was really cold here in the 937. I forgot to share that I learned to wrap presents this year

I’m not great at it yet but Ohiophotogrl says I’ll get better at it.

Hope you all had very relaxing and holiday season. We did. Spent some time with family and begged out. Was a great few days off but I myself am ready for life to get back to normal! I mean I have adventures to take!

An Eclipes

Today where I live we had a partial eclipse.

I got some special glasses so I could watch and we made some pinhole boxes to look at the eclipse.

How did the boxes work…

You need a box, some aluminum foil and some tape! You cut two holes on the top. One to look through and one to put aluminum foil on. You take a needle and put a small hole in the aluminum foil. Tape it on and there ya go. Here is a few shots that we got.

It was a lot of fun to watch this. Here is Ohiophotogrl and I enjoying our time

NASA of course got some better shots

But what ever you do don’t look directly at the sun. We don’t want to hear any stories of anyone burning there retina.  We love science!

Walking the beach

As Ohiophotogrl and I were walking the beach we came across a few of these holes. I was pointing this out to Ohiophotogrl when something popped out of the whole.

It was a crab! After my experience earlier in the week I decided to stay clear of him. I’m pretty sure he was just as scared of me as I was of him. There was lots of animal life along the beach.

Did I mention I love the beach!

Three Crafty Ladies

What do you do on an afternoon that is too hot to be outside for very long on Sanibel Island….you go see the ladies at Three Crafty Ladies. As you can see here they have some neat fabric and a great pin you can buy while your there. They have a table in the front of the store where you can make a bracket to take home with you. That is what we did! They have all these beads to choose from to put on your bracelet and then they even have shells to add to it for a small additional cost.Ohiophotogrl let me help and her bracelet came out perfect!

If your looking for something to do on the island this is the place to check out. They also offer a few other crafting things to do so you can take home something that you made! How cool is that!

The ladies at Three Crafty Ladies were so nice and fun! We will be back again the next time we are on Sanibel! You should go and check them out!

Wow that was close

Made it back to the water just in time. I was afraid I was going to stay a crab for ever.  Lucky for me the ocean water changed me back.

After some beach time I collected a few shells

I think I could live on the beach :0) after I collected my shells I went back to the room for a nice long nap!

After I watch a little tv of course :0)
