Dec 1 Already….

When I woke up this morning Ohiophotogrl told me it was the first of December.  Where has this year went.

I had to go find my winter coat because it got cold in Ohio last night.

Is a bit snug but I think it will work. Ohiophotogrl says it looks like it could be Santas coat. Maybe Santa will let me help him this year deliver toys to all the good girls and boys!
Im gonna ask him!
Wonder what were gonna do tomorrow?

Brrrrrrrrrr

I went outside for a little while today and I found this going on…..

It’s getting cold quick….I’m gonna have to find my hat and gloves.
So I ran back in the house. I was trying to think of something to do when it hit me….

I should play on the bed. Ohiophotogrl heard the dogs barking and came in and caught me….needless to say there are no more potatoes jumping on the bed.
Oh well I’m sure I’ll find something else to do :0)
Wonder what we’re gonna do tomorrow?

Zucchini bread…

So today I spent some time with my ever busy friend ohiophotogrl. She helped me make a from scratch bread…zucchini bread that is.

IMG_2103.JPG
We cut up the zucchini and then we used the food processor to shred it all up. We whipped up the bread from a recipe a friend gave us and…..

Waaaaalaaaaaa we have bread! It sure was good right out of the oven.
What do you like to make?
Wonder what were gonna do tomorrow?

April28,2014 when will it be over…

I watched Ohiophotogrl study today. Boy I sure hope that she does well on her last two exams. The good news is that she keeps telling me that we have some new adventures coming your way and I am going to hold her to that.
I think I will sneak in her bag and give her some moral support tomorrow. Think she will see me before she leaves?

Well I know what ohiophotogrl is going to do tomorrow but I wonder what we will do after that?

Feb 2,2014 groundhogs day

From The Associated Press this morning:

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. —

Emerging from his lair on Super Bowl Sunday, groundhog Punxsutawney Phil couldn’t predict the winner of the big game but his handlers said he was sure of his weather forecast: There will be six more weeks of winter.

Pennsylvania’s famed groundhog was roused from slumber at 7:28 a.m. Sunday and, according to the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, directed handler Bill Deeley to a scroll that contained the prediction — along with a Super Bowl reference.

As usual, thousands of fans turned out on Groundhog Day to see the furry rodent, the most famous of a small group of groundhogs said to forecast the weather.

Legend has it that if the groundhog sees his shadow on Feb. 2, winter will last another month-and-a-half. If he doesn’t see it, spring will come early.

In reality, Phil’s prediction is decided ahead of time by a group called the Inner Circle, whose members don top hats and tuxedos for the annual ceremony on Gobbler’s Knob, the tiny hill in the town for which he’s named about 65 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

The prediction fell on Super Bowl Sunday for the first time. The closest the game previously came to coinciding with Groundhog Day was in 2009, when the just-down-the-road Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27-23 the night before Phil’s forecast.

This year’s NFL championship pitting the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., will be the Super Bowl’s 48th installment, while Phil has been predicting the weather since 1886.

In a nod to the game, Phil’s forecast came in the form of a Super Bowl-themed poem:

“A Super Bowl winner I will not predict,

But my weather forecast, you cannot contradict,

That’s not a football lying beside me

It’s my shadow you see

So, six more weeks of winter it shall be!”

This year’s Groundhog Day celebration marks a winter that has brought extreme cold to vast stretches of the country, including areas of the South wholly unaccustomed to severe winter weather. A snow and ice storm paralyzed Atlanta and other Southern cities last week.

Phil has now seen his shadow 101 times while failing to see it 17 times, according to the Inner Circle. There are no records for the remaining years.

The National Climatic Data Center has put Phil’s forecasts to the test and found them sorely lacking, declaring the groundhog has “no predictive skill.”

“It really isn’t a ‘bright’ idea to take a measure such as a groundhog’s shadow and use it as a predictive meteorological tool for the entire United States,” the data center says on its website, helpfully if somewhat obviously.

Other prognosticating groundhogs include Staten Island Chuck in New York and General Beauregard Lee

******update******

In Marion, Buckeye Chuck did not see his shadow due to cloudy skies and snowfall, meaning spring is just around the corner.

Rosie our Dayton, Ohio grand hog will check out her shadow in a little while we will update again!

So I think I’ll stay in and read a book and wait for the Superboel game to come on!

Really all I had to do was load the dishwasher…..heeee heeeeee
Ohiophotogrl says when she was young she had to wash dishes by hand. Do you know how long that would take me with my little hands?
We want to say happy bday to ohiophotogrls sister Nikki!

It’s called a claw machine and boy was it fun. You put 2 quarters in it and move the claw back, forth, left and right. We didn’t win but I think we will next time.
