Red Nose Day

Today is Red Nose Day! It is a campaign designed to help children be safe, educated, healthy and empowered! What a great cause.

Ohiophotogrl and I have been wearing our noses proudly for a few years now. We love to make people smile as we drive down the road and they look out their car window and there we are smiling at them with our big red nose on.

How can you help? Go to your nearest Walgreens’s store and pick up a nose. We would love to see your photos. Add them to our comments or send us an email Ohiophotogrl@yahoo.com

5 years today….

Five years ago today I came into Ohiophotogrl’s life and we have been best pals ever sense. We work on stuff at the house, we go adventures and we love making people smile. Thanks for being a part of our journey. With that being said here are some of our adventures in the last few years….


Here are just a few. We love going in adventures and have so many more ahead! Stay tuned for more adventures.

Look at all that color

Yesterday we went and walked a 5K for “Holi.” What is Holi you ask! Known as the “Festival of Colors,” Holi is a festival celebrating the arrival of spring with bonfires, colored powders, and general mayhem. 

This celebration started at 8 am with registration followed by a peaceful meditation among the trees at 9:00AM. Stretched our muscles and hone our balance and breathing at a Yoga in the Park session at 9:15AM. Enjoyed Bollywood music and dance to the beats by DJ Mavi, starting at 9:30AM, And then National Anthems of the United States and India at 9:50am. This is us before..

Banana Nut Muffins…

When I woke up this morning I thought to myself I bet I can get Ohiophotogrl to help me make some muffins. I got out all the ingredients and lined the muffin pan.


Then I preheated the oven to 400 degrees. Ohiophotogrl came in and measured out the oil and the water. Added the eggs and stirred it all together.



After mixing it all up we put the ingredients into the muffin tin. And placed it in the oven.


Set the timer for 17 minutes.


And we waited.


Ohiophotogrl got out a pot holder to take them out of the oven and this is what we ended up with….


Mmmmmmm they smell so good! Guess I better go eat one before they are all gone! Have a great day everyone.

What do you do in a rainy Saturday?

Ohiophotogrl and I woke up to a lot of rain falling here in the 937. We were trying to figure out what to do when she suggested we go to the Dayton Book Expo and support one of our favorite authors.

So we got ready and headed out to Sinclair Commmunity College where the expo was. 


We met up with Ohiophotogrl’s best buddies Carol and Darla. Darla is the writer and the one on the right. These expos are great for all age groups. There were books for kids, teens, young adults on practically any genre you could imagine. 

We picked up a few books while we were there.  Carol took this photo of Ohiophotogrl and Darla…


We had a great afternoon! Wonder what we’re gonna do next?

Happy St Patrick’s Day

I’m ready to go celebrate today. I found my great tie and my green hat. There will be no pinching me today! I even got matching ties for Ohiophotogrls dogs…


They play dress up with me a lot! Anyway I wanted to tell you all to please be careful and carry around something extra that is green to give to a person that forgot today was a holiday. They will thank you for it!

I have been on this earth for a very long time and have met many friends along the way. Some stay with me for awhile and go on different adventures. Last night my pal Spidey Spud stopped by…


After he put on his pjs I tried on his outfit. I scaled the armoire in ohiophotogrls bed room. I think I’m going to have to order one of these suits. 

I love having so many friends. Thank you all for joing me in my many adventures.

Stop and smell the….

Flowers!


Here in Ohio it is almost spring. The weather has been in the high 60’s and then down in the 30’s the next day. Today we went out and cut some daffodils so they wouldn’t freeze to death.

Aren’t they pretty. Our friend ScottieScouts loves daffodils so we put them in a vase on the table for her to see. 

Daffodils are easy to grow. You put the bulb in the ground and Mother Nature takes care of the rest! We have them all over the yard!

Spring cleaning

With the weather in Ohio constantly changing (it’s not quiet spring yet) Ohiophotogrl has started doing some spring cleaning. I decided I should help.

While she was feeding the dogs I started cleaning the bathrooms. It really easy to help. 


We use Clorox wipes to wipe down the sinks and outside of the toilets. That is something easy thr even kids can help do. Then I helped clean the bathtub. I get out the scrubbing bubbles and I spray away. Then I let that set for a few minutes and get out my brushes and my rag.


I always remember to rinse them before and after I use them. We wanna keep everyone healthy :0)

Always remember that you can help out. If we all pitch in it doesn’t take long to complete our tasks and then we can play. Ohiophotogrl says when we get things done we can go see a movie tonight. I gotta go I have cleaning to do!

The dreams I have

Do you ever wake up and wonder why you have the dreams you do…

In my dreams last night I was standing on the shore looking at what I thought was a pirate ship


I looked thru a telescope to see and I noticed that it was on fire! I waved my arms and yelled trying to let the people on the boat know that there was dry land over here 


Then I realized that X marked the spot


I woke up before I found out if anyone from the ship found land or if there were buried treasure under that X. Maybe I’ll get a nap and try to see if I can dream it again.
